It's been quite a while since I last went plane spotting, and this was only my second time plane spotting at Lanseria International Airport which is located northwest of Johannesburg, South Africa. I do pretty much all of my plane spotting at the much busier OR Tambo International Airport in the east of Johannesburg. On this day I arrived at the airport just in time as two beautiful Kulula.com Boeing 737s were on the tarmac just minutes away from departure. I managed to capture the first one as it took off but decided to take still photos of the second one. The photo at the end of the movie of the second aircraft as it took off.

15.5 hours after leaving the States, we witnessed our first AFRICAN SUNSET in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our DELTA flight # 200 took off on Friday evening from Atlanta's Hartsfield airport (around 8:17pm). We arrived in Johannesburg's International airport close to 6pm the next day, September 24th 2016. Johannesburg airport is seated in the heart of Kempton park Ekurhuleni, Gauteng in South Africa. The JNB short code for the OR Tambo International Airport.
While flying through OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg in December 2012, we had multiple items stolen from our checked-in baggage while it was in the care of British Airways (operated by ComAir) at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. It as a very frustrating experience that we learned from. We thought we'd share five simple tips for protecting your baggage from theft if you're traveling through South African airports.

People traveling home from OR Tambo International Airport are soft targets for these sorts of criminals. This happened at 07:15am Sunday morning 8th January 2017.
